Introduction to Philosophy Course Description

The Introduction to Philosophy course is an honors-level elective designed to challenge traditional understandings of ethics, politics, religion, epistemology, and art and aesthetics. The course will explore prominent theories and philosophers from around the world and across time. Theories will be discussed and applied to modern issues facing individuals, communities, and broader societies. 

GRADING POLICY: All assignments and assessments are granted a numerical value. The score students receive is based on their accuracy, validity, and clarity of their responses. The cumulative value of all assignments and assessments in any given marking period may vary and the students' grades are determined by the points they've earned over the course of the marking period.
