The class is designed to allow for all students to continue to find their own style of learning and communication while still building and practicing the skills needed to succeed throughout high school and beyond.

Mrs. Rocco is a graduate of Montclair Sate University where she received her undergraduate degree in English Education and went on to earn her graduate degree as a Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach. The 2016-1017 school year will be her 12th with the CPSD, spending the first three years of her career at Kumpf Middle School before moving to ALJ. While at ALJ she has served as a past Student Council advisor, and is currently the Co-Sophomore class advisor.
She teaches 9th and 10th grade and works to ensure that students have not only a deep understanding of the content, but also the ability to formulate opinions and partake in active class discussion.
