Course Description:

In this course students will learn the basic phonetic alphabet of Gregg shorthand, including consonant forms, vowel forms, brief forms, prefixes, suffixes, and abbreviations. Students will learn to write the forms and then to join the forms to create words and phrases. Students will also learn the basic forms necessary for punctuation.  Ultimately, students will begin to treat the skill as a technology tool; taking personal notes and ultimately creating a handwritten or typed document as a final product.  The course is meant to boost personal productivity in high school, college, career, and personal life.
